Tank XT 3TB

Hi people...

I have a question about my XT600 (1991, 3TB) tank.
I would like to replace it with a tank from a newer model, mostly because i think they look better, if it is bigger that is just an extra advantage.
Is there any way for me to find out which tank models will fit on my XT ?

I am currently looking at this one for an instance :



but mine looks like this :



as you can see, the color would be a nice improvement

anybody any suggestions, thanks in advance !

Hi Zen,

according to my understanding the new tank won´t fit to your 3TB as the flanges are on different positions.

I suggest it´ll be better to use the current one and to spend it a new color.

Thanks for the reply.
I am afraid that getting my tank painted is rather expensive (200,= in holland).
I did paint the plastic myself, but i do not think that it will work on the tank, because of the lower quality paint, and the fact that there will be gasoline dripping over my tank every now and then.
i am still hoping that the owner will send me some better pictures, so i can really confirm it will not fit..

otherwise i guess it will have to be one of those large acerbis tanks...

expensive as well though...

Hi, from where exactly do you come. ´m from Colone. An I could offer you to paint the tank for aout 100,00, but you should look how to get it here. If you are near the border to germany, it would be a possibility.

it is not a problem though, as a Niederländer i can read and speak German fine.
typing will probably look really silly, so i stick to english.

Ich kann mein tank nicht aussenden, weil ich mein(e?) motor fast jeden Tag brauche...

i would rather get a second hand one, especially if it is one of those cooler looking new model tanks...
